Pool rules
- All children aged 15 and under must take a swimming skills assessment.
- All children under the age of 15 years must complete a swim test before getting in the pool.
- All swimmers under 12 years of age must have active adult supervision in the pool area, unless they are participating in a YMCA-led program.
- All non-swimmers are required to have a parent or guardian in the water and within arm's reach at all times—even if they are wearing a U.S. Coast Guard-approved personal flotation device.
- Adult Swim takes place at the bottom of every hour for 15 minutes. During this time, the pool is reserved for adults only (ages 18 and older).
- Proper swimming attire must be worn at all times – no cut off shorts or t-shirts.
- Swim diapers are required for non-toilet-trained children.
- Food or drink may not be consumed within 5 ft of the pool.
- All flotation devices must be US Coast Guard approved with parental accompaniment in the water. No air-inflatables.
- Glass items are not permitted in the pool area or locker rooms.
- Horseplay of any kind will not be tolerated. Hanging on the lane lines, float lines, or starting blocks will not be permitted.
- No chewing gum allowed in the pool area or locker rooms.
- Children must pass the swim assessment to access the deep end or use the slides.
- Diving only where permitted. Enter the water face forward.
- The use of diving blocks is prohibited.
- To keep the pool deck free of hazards, please put all toys and water exercise equipment away after use.
- Breath-holding activities are not permitted in Y pools.
- Walk at all times.
- YMCA is not responsible for lost or stolen articles.

- 24-hour access is temporarily unavailable.
- The elevator is closed for modernization starting Tuesday, Oct 6, for about 4 to 6 weeks. While it's closed, we're offering golf cart rides to and from the lower level on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30am to 12:30pm.
- Facility hours: Monday–Friday: 5:00am – 8:00pm; Saturday: 7:00am – 6:00pm; Sunday: 1:00pm – 6:00pm.
- Childwatch hours: Monday–Thursday: 8:00am–12:00pm & 4:00pm–8:00pm; Friday–Saturday: 8:00am–12:00pm; Sunday: Closed.
- Adventure Zone hours: Monday–Thursday: 4:00pm–8:00pm; Friday: CLOSED; Saturday: 8:00am–12:00pm; Sunday: CLOSED.
- Water Park guest policy: Monday–Friday: Guests and Nationwide members welcome (standard rates apply). Saturdays, Sundays & Holidays: Gaston County Family YMCA members only.
- Water Park guest rates: With a YMCA member: $10/person; Without a member: $20/person. Guest rates include children 3 years and up. Photo ID is required for all guests age 16 and older.
- Water Park party rentals: YMCA Members: $310; Non-Members: $450. Prices include up to 20 swimming guests. Additional swimmers are $5 each. Add a Party Host for $50.
- Water Park party rental availability: June through August, Mondays - Fridays 2:00pm-4:00pm and 5:00pm-7:00pm; Saturdays - 12:00pm-2:00pm and 3:00pm – 5:00pm; Sundays - 1:30pm-3:30pm.
